Today, I’m excited to introduce a summer stitch that is not only simple to master but also wonderfully versatile, making it ideal for everything from beach bags and airy shawls to stylish summer tops and lightweight throws.

Stitches Used:

• Chain stitch (ch)

• Treble crochet (tr, 2 times yarn over)

• Single crochet (sc)

Materials Needed:

• Crochet Hook: Ensure you choose a hook that is suitable for the yarn you select, as this will impact the overall look and feel of your project.

• Yarn: Cotton yarn is ideal for summer crochet projects. It’s lightweight, breathable, and comes in a variety of vibrant colors to complement the sunny days ahead.

Make as many ch as you need for your project, but be sure that number of ch should be multiple of 10 + 8

Row 1:

in 8 ch from the hook 1 tr, *3 ch, skip 4, 1 sc, 3 ch, skip 4, in next ch (1 tr, 5 ch, 1 tr),  repeat from * till the last 5 ch, in last ch make (1 tr, 2 ch, 1 tr)

 Row 2: 

4 ch, *in next sc (1 tr, 5 ch, 1 tr), 3 ch, 1 sc in the middle of ch space of 5, 3 ch, repeat from * till the end, finish with 1 sc in 3rd ch

Row 3: 

7 ch, 1 tr in the same st, *3 ch, 1 sc in the middle of ch space of 5, 3 ch, in next sc (1 tr, 5 ch, 1 tr), repeat from * till the end, in last ch make (1 tr, 2 ch, 1 tr)

Repeat Rows 2 - 3 till necessary size
