How To Crochet Into The Mystic Shawl Stitch

There are two variations for Into The Mystic Stitch, working flat or make triangle shawl.

Materials You'll Need:
Before we dive into the world of 3 D shell stitches and shawl crafting, let's gather the materials you'll need for this project:

Yarn: Choose a yarn in your preferred color and weight. Light to medium-weight yarns work well for shawls, offering the right balance of warmth and drape.

Crochet Hook: Select an appropriate crochet hook size that complements your chosen yarn. Typically, a hook in the range of 4mm to 6mm is suitable for shawl-making. My personal advice - use crochet one size bigger than it is recommended for your choosen yarn.

Scissors: A good pair of scissors is essential for cleanly cutting your yarn.

Yarn Needle: You'll need a yarn needle for weaving in ends and finishing your shawl.
Step 1:
Make chains as many as you want, YES, You don't need to count stitches!
After finishing Step 1, if chain is to long, do this:

(1 dc, 2 ch, 1 dc) in one st = V st
In 6 ch from the hook *make (1 dc, 2 ch, 1 dc), skip 3 ch, in next the ch repeat from * till the last 3 ch, 1 dc in last ch.
Step 2:
3 ch, 3D shell stitch in each V stitch from previous row
3D shell stitch = (1 fpdc, 2 dc, 2 ch, 2 dc, 1 fpdc) in V st below, finish with 1 dc in last st

Step 3:
5 ch, *(1 dc, 1 ch, 1 dc) at the top of 3D shell stitch, 2 ch, repeat from * till the end of the row, finish with 1 dc in last st.
Step 4:
3 ch, 1 dc in each ch space and each dc below till the end of the row
Step 5:
3 ch, all st front post double crochet
Step 6:
3 ch, all st back post double crochet
Step 7:
3 ch, in 3rd st *(1dc, 2ch, 1 dc), skip 3, in the next st repeat from * till the last 3 st, 1 dc in last st
Repeat steps 2-7 till necessary length
